Journal Prompts for the Woman Becoming Her
By Lavinia — Founder, Heaven Sent Pretty · 4 July 2026 · 4 min read
Journaling does not require a beautiful notebook or anything to say. It requires ten minutes and a willingness to be honest on paper, where nobody is reading.
The prompts
- What did I give myself this week that no one asked me for?
- Where am I still living by someone else's schedule?
- What does rest actually look like for me — not for anyone else?
- What am I ready to stop carrying?
- When did I last feel completely like myself, and what was I doing?
- What small beauty did I notice today?
- Who am I becoming, and does she recognise me?
- What am I pretending not to want?
- What would a gentler version of this week look like?
- What do I want more of at the end of the day?
- What have I outgrown quietly?
- What would I do tomorrow if I trusted myself entirely?
Softness is not weakness. It is what is left when you stop performing.
How to make it a ritual
Same chair, same time, one candle. Write three lines minimum and stop whenever you like. Keep the notebook by the bed so it becomes part of the evening rather than another task.
